What is Compounding?

What is Compounding?

Compounded medications are “made from scratch” – individual ingredients are mixed together in the exact strength and dosage form required by the patient. This method allows the compounding pharmacist to work with the patient and the prescriber to customise a medication to meet the patient’s specific needs.

Have you ever had difficulty taking medication?

You’re not alone. Many people experience issues such as these:

*Stomach upset when taking oral medication
*Reluctance to take the medication due to its taste
*Difficulty swallowing pills
*Requiring a different dose of medication than that which is available from a manufacturer
*Patients who don’t want to take medication at all, especially children or pets

We can also help if your medication has been discontinued by the manufacturer, you have allergies to certain ingredients, or you just dont like the taste!

Come in and speak to our experienced and friendly staff to see how we can help you,  at 129 Crown Street, Darlinghurst or 50 Avenue Road, Mosman, NSW.

Alternately, call 1300 244 073 or email us at info@tcpa.com.au.
